Wedding Photo Shoot Inspiration: Go Behind the Scenes!

Today, the MADO team takes you behind the scenes of a wedding-inspired photo shoot! Held in October 2023 with the theme “Shades of White,” this shoot gave us the opportunity to showcase the new wedding dresses from our 2024 collection. Discover the preparations, the planning, and the stunning photos from the big day in this detailed article.

What is a wedding inspiration photo shoot?

This is a photo shoot designed to recreate a wedding and showcase the skills of numerous vendors. As such, various professionals—all specializing in weddings—are on hand to demonstrate their expertise and highlight their work. It’s a crucial step for everyone involved: a project like this offers many benefits.

Why organize a wedding inspiration photo shoot?

A wedding inspiration photoshoot is a great source of inspiration for engaged couples looking for fresh ideas. The goal of this photoshoot is to showcase the latest trends emerging in the wedding industry.

For service providers, this offers many benefits, including the opportunity to showcase their work and expand their professional network. It’s a chance to learn how to collaborate on a shared project.

A photo shoot also helps increase the visibility of all the professionals present on the big day. The photos, posted on various social media platforms, serve as an excellent communication tool. Since the names of the service providers are credited in the photos posted online, this type of event is sure to generate significant exposure.

Since the outcome of an inspirational photo shoot is crucial, it’s essential to plan it thoroughly in advance. This helps avoid stress right before the big day and minimizes the risk of unexpected issues (even though, just like at a real wedding, there are always some!)

How does the planning of a photo shoot work?

The first step (and by no means the least important!) is brainstorming. Defining the theme, choosing colors, selecting which products to highlight… This is the creative moment when everyone shares their ideas. The theme is very important because the entire photo shoot will revolve around it.

Next, you need to define the goals of the shoot : to inspire future brides and grooms, create high-quality visual content, or launch new products? Having specific goals will allow each vendor to prepare thoroughly and anticipate the shoot as effectively as possible.

Once ideas have been shared and goals set, it’s time to find an inspiring location. The shooting location is one of the most important elements; the setting must highlight the theme so that the future bride and groom can best envision themselves in it.

The Creating a mood board will set the tone for the shoot; it serves to clarify the project’s artistic and aesthetic direction and is distributed to all vendors prior to the shoot.

This is the perfect segue to talk about service providers and the importance of choosing them wisely!

A wedding-themed photo shoot is a project that requires time and dedication. You’ll be working with various people, and it’s essential that you all share the same vision for the shoot. The chemistry between the vendors has a real impact on the final result: the rapport among the professionals is reflected in the visual consistency of the photos.

Take a look at our wedding inspiration photo shoot:

Shades of white

In October 2023, we were contacted by Carole (La maison LCP) to participate in an inspirational photo shoot at the Blacailloux estate in the Var region. The theme was “Shades of White,” and we immediately loved the mood board. Indeed, we saw the identity of “Madame a dit oui” reflected in the light, clean tones. During a brainstorming session, we decided which wedding dress styles would best match the shoot’s atmosphere and selected a few of our new designs.

On the big day, we arrived in Tourves at a spacious, bright, and cozy country house. The only slight downside was the uncooperative weather, which pushed us to get even more creative (we always look on the bright side at Madame a dit oui!).

At noon, the excitement begins: all the vendors are getting ready. Charlotte, the model chosen for the project, is having her makeup and hair done by Clémence Lefèvre (makeup and hair artist). At the same time, Mélanie (Atelier Novem) and Sylvie (ceramist) are setting the table with beautiful tableware and wedding stationery. Carole (La maison LCP) is decorating the various rooms with magnificent bouquets of flowers. It’s a true moment of togetherness; we’re really starting to feel a beautiful bond around this project, and we can’t wait to get started!

Coralie and Élisabeth, from the MADO team, are ironing the dresses and veils that Charlotte will wear, and finally Gladys (Les délices de Gladys) brings a stunning wedding cake. Olivia (Atelier cigales) is capturing these precious moments of preparation.

For this inspirational photo shoot, we chose to showcase our latest creation—the true star of the 2024 collection—our Zoey wedding dress. With its satin crepe fabric, spaghetti straps, and stunning open-back design, it’s the favorite among our 2024 brides, and it’s easy to see why!

So we decided to have Charlotte try on our Robbie blouse, and the result exceeded all our expectations: the sequins catch the light, and the effect is simply stunning.

During the day, we also photographed the Lou dress with its removable sleeves, our Alba hat with its short veil, and our Lili dress with its scalloped lace belt. We showed our vendors the various pieces we love so much, and everything fit perfectly with the “Shades of White” theme.

We’re currently designing the wedding dresses for our 2025 collection, so it goes without saying that we’ll be taking part in a wedding inspiration photoshoot very soon! Summery colors, new wedding dresses, exciting new vendors… stay tuned!
