What happens during a wedding dress fitting?

That’s it—you’ve booked your wedding dress fitting with one of our ambassadors, and now you can’t wait! We get it—trying on your future wedding dress is truly one of the most exciting parts of the planning process.

To keep you entertained while you wait, we’re taking you along to a fitting that took place at Carole’s home—she’s our brand ambassador in Aix-en-Provence. The key words for this fitting: intimate and warm!

When you arrive at one of our ambassadors’ homes—so, at her place—there’s no pressure! Just make yourself comfortable and start chatting with her.

Generally, she’ll tell you the brand’s story and ask you about your upcoming wedding. It’s the perfect chance to share everything you’re dreaming of for your wedding, because you can be sure the person across from you is genuinely interested ???? Our consultants love hearing about your love story and your wedding dreams!

You can also choose whatever drink you'd like to enjoy during your visit.

Our brand ambassadors love making you feel at ease, so that the rest of your fitting experience is natural and enjoyable!

Fitting sessions for the designs

You’ll browse the collection and choose the styles you’d like to try on with the ambassador. If you’d like, you can try on every single dress! To make sure you’re as comfortable as possible, we recommend (re)reading our article on preparing for a wedding dress fitting (underwear, shoes, makeup, etc.).

Our little tip is not to limit yourself or hold back just because you think something won’t suit you. More often than not, the opposite turns out to be true ????

Our Mado is here to guide and advise you, based on your preferences, body type, and budget. At “Madame a dit oui,” there’s no pressure—you’re the one who decides!

To help you visualize your future wedding dress even more clearly, we’ll let you try on accessories such as veils and hair jewelry. We’ll adjust the dresses to fit you if needed, and we can suggest alterations (sleeves, neckline, train length, etc.) to make the dress even more perfect!

You can ask your friends and/or family to take photos and videos of you from every angle to help you see how the dress looks. You can also review them a few days later to confirm whether or not it’s the one you’ve chosen or fallen in love with!

Taking Measurements & Placing an Order

Once you’ve chosen a wedding dress, the consultant will take your measurements (usually 11 in total) so that the dress can be sent to the tailor and made to fit you as closely as possible.

If you’re not sure, feel free to take some time to think it over and schedule a second appointment with the ambassador a little later. At “Madame a dit oui,” we make it a point of honor not to pressure you. When you’re ready to order your dress, you can do so from your phone or computer, right from the comfort of your own home.

Take your time and give yourself a moment to think it over before taking the plunge!

On average, we deliver the dresses four months after they are ordered.
